“Amerisicula: Sicilian Poetry in New York” at The Kitchen Experience the rich poetic tradition of Sicily, known as l’isola dei poeti (the island of poets). Sicilian poets from metropolitan New York recite their work in ottava rima, the quintessential Sicilian poetic meter, and contrasti, a poetic debate between two poets.
